We are particularly excited about this years' Afterschool for All Challenge because we are partnering with the National Afterschool Association (NAA) to create a bigger and better opportunity to communicate with Members of Congress about the benefits of afterschool programs.
You have an opportunity to bring 1-2 youth advocates to Washington, D.C. to personally speak with Congressional offices about the importance of their afterschool programs and how afterschool inspires learning and provides a safe haven for children and youth. The registration price for youth advocates will be $75 per youth. This fee will include the following:
Additionally, the Afterschool Alliance has made it possible to bring one chaperone per group at the youth registration rate of $75.
Chaperones may NOT attend the full 3-day conference, but they MUST attend the General Session and Capitol Hill Visit Prep Session on April 19, the Capitol Hill visits and Rally on April 20 and the "Breakfast of Champions "on April 21 to supervise youth. Please note that if you are planning to attend the 3-day conference and you are bringing youth.
You are strongly encouraged to bring another adult to act as a chaperone. There will be blocks of time during the conference where youth will not be attending sessions/workshops and therefore should be supervised by an adult chaperone. The Afterschool Alliance and the National Afterschool Association are not assuming responsibility for supervision of youth during the events.

Note that submitting this information does not finalize registration for youth or chaperones.
