| Click here to listen to Cheers' Rhea Perlman and Jodi Grant, Afterschool Alliance Executive Director, talk about Lights On Afterschool 2007. The message was sent to media nationwide.
Lights On Afterschool was another huge success! From mural painting in Alabama to a pie-eating contest in Arkansas, more than a million people rallied for afterschool programs at 7,500 events nationwide. And, for the first time ever, the Empire State Building lit up in yellow for Lights On Afterschool. Check out the 2007 Photo Gallery or read about events.
Kid's Talk Radio and PNN.com are still offering FREE Mixcraft software to afterschool programs who share their Lights On Afterschool stories online. See stories posted by afterschool programs to date. Learn how to post your story.
Send us your photos and sample materials: we’ll post photos in the gallery and use sample materials in our Event Planning Kit. Anything featuring the Empire State Building will be shared with the board that approved our request for the special lighting. Send to: lightson@afterschoolalliance.org, or Afterschool Alliance, Attn: Susan Rohwer, 1440 Broadway, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10018.
