Lights are already turning on 2005! Check out photos from the Lights On Afterschool "Traveling Light Bulb" Tour.


Actor Kevin Sorbo, helped more than 4,000 Los Angeles children rally for more afterschool programs in Los Angeles, as part of Lights On Afterschool 2005 kick-off. Sorbo is a spokesperson for the Afterschool Alliance and played the title role in the hit television series, "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys."

On September 30, students at Harry Stone Montessori School in Dallas, TX kicked-off the national Lights On Afterschool traveling light bulb tour.


Afterschool supporters and students at Partners in Out-of-School Time (POST) and the YWCA of the Central Carolinas hosted a visit by a 12’ high inflatable light bulb, and decorated a mural with light-bulb-themed student artwork.
