Lights On Afterschool 2007


School's Out Washington, the Pacific Science Center, the Afterschool Alliance and presenting sponsor T-Mobile USA celebrated Lights On Afterschool in Seattle, Washington with over 400 children and youth. Special science demonstrations were part of the festivities for participants.

Afterschool champions from across the city were honored at Afterschool Ambassador Mary Hoshiko's Lights On Afterschool event in San Jose, California.


Students from Afterschool Ambassador Traci Young Cooper's Extended Day Programs in Richland County, South Carolina led a "River Sweep" to clean up the nature trail/nature walk along the City of Columbia's river for Lights On Afterschool this year.


"Keep the Midlands Beautiful" (www.keepthemidlandsbeautiful.com), our John and James Knight Foundation students participated on Thursday, October 18th in a "River Sweep" where they conducted a clean-up of the nature trail/nature walk along the City of Columbia's river.
