#GivingTuesdayNow: An opportunity to connect, share gratitude, and raise funds

Every year following the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, nonprofits around the globe participate in GivingTuesday, a day of international generosity and unity. In response to the demands and hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic, GivingTuesday has announced #GivingTuesdayNow, taking place on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

#GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity, is designed to bring the world together to support nonprofits and communities. This day of giving and generosity may provide an opportunity for your organization to connect with givers and raise funds needed to support your efforts during the outbreak. The day may also provide an opportunity to demonstrate gratitude for your supporters, your community, and your partners. This toolkit provides ideas on how to participate, as well as social media tools that your program can use. Other resources are available for individuals and partners. For programs choosing to participate in #GivingTuesdayNow, GoFundMe Charity has also opened an opportunity to qualify for $50,000 in additional grants.

Are you participating in #GivingTuesdayNow or have tips for those who are? Visit our COVID-19 resource pages and join us in our online learning community to talk more!
