Resources on state-by-state funding allocations in the recovery bill, state proposals on economic recovery funds and existing data on state budget and use of federal afterschool dollars:

• Learning Point Associates State Resources Page (http://www.learningpt.org/recovery/information.php) has updates from the states and examples of the resources they are creating to manage their stimulus dollars.  Its  Funding Tracker, at http://www.learningpt.org/recovery/fundFinder.php , has state's  released allocations for ESEA Title I Grants to LEAs, IDEA Parts B and C, as well as school district's allocations for Title I, Part A. See also a side by side chart of reporting requirements showing initial analysis of the distribution and allocation of education funds to states.
  

• The National Conference of State Legislatures has created a summary of state plans to track and provide oversight of federal stimulus funds.  Also from NCSL is this state by state budget map showing the gap in states' general budgets for FY09 and 2010.

• Forecasts for your state's allocation of recovery funds across key provisions in the bill are available from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

• The Afterschool Investments Project offers data on low income children in your state, and how CCDBG are being used in the state.

• The Finance Project has created a funding brief, Preparing to Take Advantage of New Programs in the Economic Stimulus Package: Considerations for Out-of-School Time Providers and Stakeholders, which provides a detailed a summary of key opportunities for funding afterschool programs in the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and offers advice to afterschool program leaders and directors on how to best position their organizations to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

• Chart released by the Department of Education  gives preliminary guidance on when and how much funding for each program will distributed.
• The Department of Education website on the recovery package features guidance released on the funding programs to date, and the Department's overall strategy.
• The Department Of Education has posted a user-friendly guide: Using ARRA Funds to Drive School Reform and Improvement: “This document includes framing questions for decision making and examples of potential uses of ARRA funds to improve educational outcomes from early learning through high school.  It is intended to spark ideas about how districts and schools might use ARRA funds, particularly those available under the SFSF, Title I, and IDEA Part B programs.”  The document specifically sites extended learning time.
