It's here! Announcing the Lights On Afterschool 2021 poster

This year, the Afterschool Alliance commemorates 22 years of Lights On Afterschool with a poster that embodies the spirit of afterschool programs. The Lights On Afterschool 2021 poster focuses on all that afterschool programs do to help youth recover and forge successful futures. It was designed with artwork from previous Lights On Afterschool poster contest entries, spotlighting a few of the afterschool activities that keep students engaged including music, sports, and culinary arts. Also featured are kids in afterschool programs jumping in celebratory joy for another year of fun, engaging afterschool programs.

And it’s a celebration indeed!

Afterschool programs rose to the moment this year, and we are honoring all that they do to help youth recover from the effects of the pandemic, provide support for parents and families, and engage communities. Joining the Afterschool Alliance and more than 8,000 Lights On events around the world is the Empire State Building, who will light up the New York City skyline in recognition of this year’s affair for the 15^th year in a row.
