Nominate a student for the 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Youth who volunteer or participate in community service projects can see long-lasting positive effects. Studies show volunteering helps youth and young adults build social and emotional skills, like communication and self-confidence, which in turn can lead to greater economic opportunity.

And now, the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards wants to give youth another reason to be a positive force in their communities – by honoring youth who gave back to their communities in 2020!

Today through November 10, 2020, students in grades 5-12 are invited to apply for the 2021 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, which recognizes outstanding youth leaders who have made a meaningful impact in their communities through volunteer service. Top honorees will receive scholarships and all-expenses paid trips to Washington, D.C. to be recognized.

Since 1995 the program, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) is the United States’ largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer service and has honored more than 130,000 young volunteers on the local, state and national level.
