About this webinar:

Creativity is a fundamental skill in today’s rapidly changing world. Although creativity is often thought of as an elusive trait, research tells us that it is teachable. Experts from the Center for Childhood Creativity will lead participants in an interactive session exploring seven critical components of creativity that are essential for children to develop as they learn to think creatively, work creatively with others, and creating innovative solutions to problems.  The research presented summarizes recommendations from the Center’s research brief Inspiring a Generation to Create: Critical Components of Creativity in Children. Hands-on activities from Creativity Catapult, the Center’s new collection of research-backed and expert-curated activities that develop creativity skills in children, will be highlighted throughout the session to illustrate practical recommendations for promoting imagination and originality, flexibility, decision-making, self-expression, collaboration, motivation, and action.
