About this webinar:

Every year, more than 1 million Americans come together in more than 8,000 Lights On Afterschool events in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Like afterschool programs, Lights On Afterschool celebrations can be whatever you make of them; events come in all shapes and sizes, and don't have to cost a lot to be effective.

Whether this is your first Lights On Afterschool or your 19th, in this webinar we will go over everything you need to help stay on track with your planning for this year's celebration. Learn about steps you can take now to help build champions for afterschool in your community, and learn more about what you can do to make sure community leaders and policy makers see firsthand how afterschool is working for kids and families in your community.

Featuring presentations from the Alliance's own Dan Gilbert and Afterschool Ambassador Sierra Newhouse-Ragoonanan from After-School All-Stars Orlando, this webinar will provide insights on how to use our extensive event planning tools and go over all of the basics to help you stay on track with your planning, attract VIPs, and work with the media to get your message out.

Speakers:

  • Dan Gilbert, Project Manager, Afterschool Alliance
  • Sierra Newhouse-Ragoonanan, Afterschool Ambassador & Project Coordinator, After-School All-Stars
