A Simple Click to Save a Life

By Sarah Simpson

At the Afterschool Alliance, one of our highest priorities is keeping kids safe by making sure that they all have somewhere to go after school where they can be supervised, encouraged and inspired.  As an afterschool supporter, you know the important role that safety plays in helping the youth in your community thrive, and you understand the power of information to help them do so.  That’s why we’re glad to share with you the Neighborhood Safety Network (NSN), a project of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  The NSN is a nationwide initiative to supply parents, neighbors, teachers, youth workers, safety officials and community leaders with free resources and urgent safety information to help you keep youth safe in your community.  So what are you waiting for?  Join the effort now and help save lives in your neighborhood.
